Sichuan's industrial and commercial energy storage development is accelerating further. On June 8, the reporter learned from State Grid Chengdu Power Supply Company that the 5MW/10MWh distributed energy storage power station of Chengdu Fangxin Cold Rolled Sheet Co., Ltd. has recently been grid-connected for operation. The project has successfully implemented the concept of "Made in Chengdu, Used in Chengdu", establishing a closed-loop, local industrial chain that spans from equipment manufacturing to project application.

At Fangxin Cold Rolled Sheet Company in the Xinjin Economic Development Zone, rows of white battery energy storage cabinets are neatly arranged. "The energy storage power station functions akin to a large, flexible power bank. It charges during off-peak and standard electricity usage times, releasing the stored energy during peak daytime hours. This system enables the flexible management of an average of 200,000 kWh of electricity daily, with projections indicating an annual charging and discharging capacity of 6.5 to 7 million kWh." Zhang Jiancheng, Assistant to the Chairman of Fangxin Cold Rolled Sheet Company, estimates that the energy storage power station, once operational, will save the company approximately one million yuan in electricity costs each year.

Energy storage systems for industrial and commercial users are tailored for factories, shopping centers, industrial parks, and other similar commercial and industrial clients. The energy storage cabinet equipment, batteries, and grid connection systems for this initiative are all manufactured locally by Chengdu-based companies. This integration forms a closed-loop, localized industrial chain that spans from equipment production to project implementation, making it the province's first full-industry-chain energy storage project tailored for industrial and commercial users.

To advance the development of user-side energy storage projects, Chengdu's Xinjin District Bureau of Economic and Information Technology and State Grid Chengdu Xinjin Power Supply Company have launched an innovative "Energy Storage and Electricity Service Express" mechanism. Under this mechanism, they have formed a six-member government-enterprise coordination team dedicated to providing new types of energy services and offering value-added services that integrate cost-pricing strategies with energy efficiency solutions. By real-time monitoring and analyzing enterprises' energy consumption data, they tailor optimal energy storage solutions for electricity-using businesses, achieving a full-process closed-loop management from technical consulting to grid integration and operation.
